Take the second 3.5mm stereo cable. Solder the Left Rear hot wire to Pin 9 and the Right Rear hot wire to Pin 8 . Solder this ground shield to Pin 13 .

The system is designed for standard 18-gauge speaker wire [1†L10-L11].

Disclaimer: Working with AC power and amplifier circuits involves risk. If you are not comfortable soldering, pay a professional. Do not attempt the Control Pod repair while the subwoofer is plugged in.

If your volume knob lights up but no sound comes out, your issue is likely Pin 4/5 (Input) or Pin 10/11 (Output) on the cable. You can splice a standard VGA cable by cutting it open and soldering the wires according to this map.

The 120V/240V AC mains line enters through the rear panel, passes through a user-replaceable T2.5A slow-blow fuse, and connects directly to the primary windings of the toroidal transformer. logitech z5500 wiring diagram exclusive

The Z5500 subwoofer amplifier contains 50V rail capacitors . Even unplugged, these can hold a lethal charge for hours. Do not touch the amplifier board pins 1 and 2 (the large blue capacitors) unless you have discharged them first.

Once the amplifier is powered on, you can feed standard line-level audio signals into it:

The process is straightforward: push down on the tab of the spring clip, insert the bare end of the into the hole, and release the tab to secure the wire [1†L10-L11]. Ensure the wire is stripped adequately so the bare metal makes solid contact, and that no stray strands are causing a short circuit [15†L29-L31].

You will notice Pin 7 is Front Right (+), but where is Front Right (-)? The Z5500 uses a shared ground for the front right channel? No. Look carefully at the 9th pin. There is no dedicated "Front Right (-)" pin. Instead, the Front Right Negative is internally shared with the Front Left Negative system, but for wiring purposes, you must run a dedicated wire. If you are building a DIY cable, do not bridge the negatives externally.
