The Bum is the passion project of JTStudio, a creator recognized for crafting raw, story-driven adult games with a heavy focus on narrative and moral complexity. The studio is dedicated to building a grim, urban setting that's constantly expanding with new areas, events, and characters, driven by player feedback. As noted in a community post, the project relies on user input to "balance it, and make the game stable and playable for everyone".
The Bum opens with the protagonist standing at a crossroads that will define his entire future. As a former member of a drug cartel, he possesses street smarts and a survival instinct honed in dangerous environments, but he has no legitimate connections, no family to lean on, and no resources to his name.
