A full Batocera image (which includes the operating system, emulation frontend, and typically a library of games) almost always exceeds 32GB . A standard uncompressed Batocera OS image is roughly 4GB–8GB, but once you add PlayStation 1 (PS1), Nintendo 64 (N64), and GameCube games (which the Pi 3 handles well), you will hit the 32GB ceiling immediately.
